Offline games play with no network at all, and that's also why mods here go much deeper. No server holds your balance, so gold, gems and match speed are all numbers sitting in your phone's memory.

No server, nobody to ban you

This is the biggest difference from online games. Max out your coins or switch on invincibility, and there's no second party keeping a copy of that number to check it against.
