One plan, several devices: the device limit and removing an old phone

A VipMod plan is tied to your account, not to a phone. Sign in to that account on any device and the plan comes with you, up to the number of devices your plan allows.

The device limit

Every plan allows a set number of devices to be signed in at the same time, and the higher plans allow more. The Plans screen in the VipMod app shows the current number for each one. "At the same time" means devices that are signed in right now, so signing out on one of them (Account → Sign out) frees its seat for another. Account → Devices shows which devices are using your seats.

Moving to a new phone

  1. Install VipMod on the new phone and sign in with the same account.
  2. If you're already at your limit, the app shows Device limit reached along with the devices that are signed in. Pick the old phone to remove it, and the new one takes its seat. Within about five minutes the old phone is signed out, and any game open on it closes.
  3. Your plan shows up on the new phone.

Lost the old phone, or it won't turn on anymore? Remove it from the new one the same way, or later from Account → Devices → Remove. You don't need to message us for that.

Your games don't travel with the account

The plan follows your account, but your games and their progress live on the phone. On a new phone you install your games again from the store, and reinstalling a game you've installed before doesn't use up one of your installs. To bring your progress across:

  • Offline games: on the old phone, long-press the game's tile → Game tweaks → Backup & restore → Back up now, then tap the new backup → Export to file and get that file onto the new phone. There, open the same screen and use Import from file. The backup guide has the details.
  • Online games: your progress is kept on the game's own servers, so just sign in to your game account again.

We don't sync game data through your VipMod account, and your saves never pass through our servers.

Playing without an account

You can play on the Free tier without ever signing in. In that case the free install allowance is counted per phone, and the first time you sign in, that phone's install history is added to your account. Deleting and reinstalling VipMod doesn't give you a fresh allowance, either. The count stays with the phone, and all a reinstall does is delete the games you had inside VipMod.

An emulator counts as a device

LDPlayer on your computer shows up in the device list just like a phone (the setup is in running VipMod on LDPlayer). If your plan allows one device, you can still use both by taking turns: sign out on one and sign in on the other. If it allows more, they can run at the same time.

Sharing an account

Technically, a plan that allows several devices could cover a few people in one home, up to its device limit. Just know where you stand: under our terms the account is yours personally, you're responsible for everything done under it, and selling or renting it out isn't allowed. We also don't settle arguments about who owns an account, and we don't split one plan into two. Keep your password to yourself, since anyone who has it can remove your devices. If you think someone else knows it, change it under Account → Change password, which signs out every other device.
