Many of these games sell gem packs across a whole ladder of prices, and a mod can let you claim the full range without the payment screen opening; some unlock the monthly cards too. The trick is the same in most of them: the shop asks the client whether you've bought, so the answer sits on your phone.

Faster than the game allows

Where a game caps battle speed at 3x, a mod can push past it, and some lock your fortress health at 100%. Others take a different route: cheaper building costs so you can build far more from the very first minute, plus shorter cooldowns and automatic merging.

Some games only need one switch

Not every mod is a long list. Sometimes one-hit kills and rewards without watching the ad are the only two things worth turning on, and that's plenty.
